Melky Cabrera created fake web site to avoid suspension for his positive for testosterone

It happens frequently that when sportspersons test positive for any banned preparations, they try to prove that they have never taken any banned drug intentionally. They are looking for various ways to manifest that they are innocent. They do a lot in order to escape from bans and/or other sanctions. Here is a case.
The baseball player Melky Cabrera tested positive for the anabolic steroid testosterone. Of course, he was sentenced to a ban. Like other sportspersons he decided to find a way to prove his innocence and escape from the suspension.
Numerous doping athletes that are caught affirm that they have applied a dietary supplement which caused positive for certain prohibited substance. However certain sportspersons may have used contaminated dietary supplements, many athletes administer steroids and choose this way of defense because it works in many situations.
Thus, Melky Cabrera claimed that he had applied a dietary supplement that led to his positive for testosterone. In fact, it was a lie. Trying to avoid the 50-game suspension, he also created a web site and posted a fictitious supplement and advertisements that induced selling it. The product didn’t exist in reality. It was just a lie of Melky Cabrera and his associates in order to defend the professional baseball player.
Juan Nunez, a paid consultant for Athletes’ Career Enhanced and Secured Incorporated (ACES), created the web site.
But the hoax turned out to be unsuccessful. The MLB exposed Melky Cabrera and Juan Nunez. So, Melky Cabrera was enforced to serve the ban.
The ACES had also problems. Since Juan Nunez has been a consultant for ACES, the agency and Seth and Sam Levinson were suspected of involving in the hoax. But these persons affirmed that they were not implicated in the creation of the web site and the lie that was thought out by Melky Cabrera and Juan Nunez. Juan Nunez also confirmed that Seth and Sam Levinson had not been implicated in this hoax.
The case is still investigated by the Food and Drug Administration. It is unclear yet whether other individuals would be also prosecuted and punished for the hoax.
