Rampage Jackson is glad that he takes the steroid testosterone

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, a mixed martial artist and actor, described effects of testosterone in the interview with Gary Alexander of “Fighters Only Magazine”. He said about his decision to administer testosterone, about its effects on increase of muscle mass, his bodyweight and his sexual life. He said these words after his fail at UFC 144 in Japan.
Rampage Jackson was openly talking about his decision to seek a health care provider who could recommend him testosterone replacement therapy. He mentioned openly because he believed that testosterone didn’t include in anabolic steroids.  Rampage Jackson claimed that steroids were for muscles but testosterone was natural. Thus, he was mistaken, thinking that testosterone is not an anabolic steroid.
In fact, application of testosterone replacement therapy in mixed martial arts is a controversial question. Testosterone is applied legally in case of hypogonadism (low testosterone production). So, mixed martial artists that experience this illness may get a therapeutic use exemption which permits to utilize the steroid testosterone legally.
But the problem that is widely discussed is whether the sportsperson that applies therapeutic dose of testosterone may obtain unfair advantage during competitions.
The most of athletes who have received a therapeutic use exemption for intake of testosterone for therapeutic needs deny getting any enhancement of performance due to testosterone replacement therapy.
As for Jackson, he reported that testosterone replacement therapy had promoted increasing his muscle mass, speeded his recovery from his injuries and had positive effect on his sexual abilities. Jackson noticed that he had experienced a knee injury. After he had applied three dosages of testosterone, the knee was healed. He added bodyweight and muscle mass. He stated that small dosages of the steroid testosterone had caused essential changes in him. His sexuality was improved essentially; he started to feel as if he had been only 25.
Rampage Jackson demonized steroids for his impossibility to lose weight to meet criteria of the 206lb weight class.
Rampage Jackson reports that he doesn’t break any law. He takes testosterone and believes that it is legally.
