Federal prosecutors: muscularity causes addiction

Federal prosecutors don’t have sufficient knowledge about anabolic steroids, although they pursue those that produce, use and/or distribute these medications. They don’t study scientific literature about these products. The government uses information which is written in Wikipedia. Although feds speak about adverse consequences of steroids, they don’t know about these conditions sufficiently. Citing affirmations about steroids presented in Wikipedia, they punish consumers/manufacturers/distributors of these products, affirming that these drugs represent evil.
Some important questions appear here: Is it correct to base upon affirmations presented in Wikipedia in such cases? Are these affirmations true? Aren’t they exposed to manipulations? Aren’t they mixed with subjective opinions of sponsors?
Maurice Hall, the associate professor of communication and culture at Villanova University, says that it is not reasonable to base wholly upon affirmations presented in Wikipedia. He confirms that Wikipedia serves a good guide for footnotes. But affirmations written in Wikipedia may be not true entirely.
For example, when John Isaac Hudelson was sentenced to imprisonment, federal prosecutors based their conclusions linked with illegal deals of this person upon statements cited from Wikipedia. Feds claimed that Hudelson deserved to serve 47-54 months in jail because he administered and distributed steroids. Stephen Greubel, the defense attorney for Hudelson, argued that 47-54 months in prison were too much for his client. He claimed that Hudelson distributed steroids, medications which differed from such drugs, as amphetamine, methamphetamine, codeine, morphine, etc. Stephen Greubel confirmed that steroids didn’t cause addiction.
Federal prosecutors affirmed that John Isaac Hudelson manufactured, administered and distributed steroids to his friends. They confirmed that while steroids didn’t lead to addiction, desire to be muscular could be addictive. Furthermore, they added that steroids could lead to severe adverse results. All affirmations of federal prosecutors were based upon those presented in Wikipedia.
Finally, the government sent Isaac John Hudelson to 37 months in prison.
