Anyone knows that anabolic steroids are often blamed. If an athlete or a bodybuilder uses steroids and/or other doping products, he/she is considered to be a cheater. Sportswriters report about such athletes as about those who have spoiled their reputation. Anti-doping officers put incredible efforts and spend money in other to catch athletes that dope. Even the government spends taxpayers’ funds and time in order to prove that some sportspersons have applied steroids and/or performance-enhancing drugs. It is claimed that those who dope take unfair advantages in sports.
Numerous pieces of news describe the war on steroids. But let think whether arguments against usage of steroids are strong enough to prove that it is disgraceful to use them.
It is stated that steroid-using sportspersons serve as a bad example for kids and young people. It is known that youth sees a lot of sports stars that administer steroids and other related preparations. As a result, young people desire to look and be as strong, as these prominent sports figures.  Moreover, it is widely disputed about health risks connected with steroids. But if you are attentive, you can see that these arguments are weak because hypocrisy reigns here.
Let examine the most frequently used arguments against intake of anabolic steroids and/or other related products.
According to the first argument, usage of steroids is closely associated with certain possible health dangers. Many articles warn about shrunken testicles and enlargement of heart that may occur on account of steroid use. However it may be true, let analyze our life. We consume unhealthy food, however we know that it destroys our health. Certain individuals administer antidepressants that are also quite unsafe. We are also involved in other unhealthy activities.
According to another argument against steroids, steroid-using sportspersons have unfair advantages in competitions. They win because they improve performance with these medicines. Let see what happens in other areas, for example, in the world of entertainment.  Numerous actors and actresses improve their appearances and performances in order to play certain roles in movies. They also have unfair advantages over others with the help of certain surgeries and other things. But they are not sentenced to suspensions.
While it is affirmed that steroid-using athletes send bad messages to young persons who desire to look like them and follow their examples, nobody notes about the bad example of actors and actresses. Young girls also want to look like those they see in magazines.
While federal prosecutors pursue sportspeople who take steroids, they have nothing to do with actors and actresses who act the same way.
It is clear that arguments against intake of steroids are very weak. They display hypocrisy which reigns in our counterfeit world.
